just like that! @infobdg (on twitter) is the most popular tweet-information for bandung people. We can ask all about weather, traffic, discount, even any events in bandung. I think this is very creative and very useful for people today (especially for smartphone, i-phone, blackberry user). We can update any information about bandung here. LOVELY~ ! \(^o^)/

What I Learned From infobdg

infobdg teach me something about social media. Social media is really powerful to connecting and spreading information between people. With a hard effort and also luck factor, we can be famous, useful, and gain a profit.

Free Publicity

we can gain a free publicity through social media! people will mention our name if we have something to be offered, something useful!

Be Creative!

Trust me, every tools has an 'unique' part. That is why there is so many people in the world get rich just because they invented a 'common tools'. Just like social media, if we used 100% of our brains to optimize the use of social media, we will gain 'social invention' more and more.

Tumblring is TOO WAY FUN!

Dear Cybie,

• When I feel something, and i wanted to express what i feel, constantly, i will hand my blackberry and run my tumblr application.
• When I find funny picture, or unusual picture, that i think should keep it forever, i run my tumblr application, and i posted it.
• When I want to save any video (vclip - youtube - adv), etc. I also run my tumblr.
• When I want to sing and say things, I record my voice, and post it via tumblr
• When I want to post a quote, then i will post it to tumblr.
• When I want to post any chats with friends, then Tumblr is an application i would choose!

TUMBLR, is one of social media tools, that have a smiliar function as BLOGGER and TWITTER. we can blog, send a photos, videos, quotes, links, chat history, and the most unique one is we can post any audios (even the content is our own voice) *lol*. Tumblr also has a feature such following, ReBlog, "Like Post", Message, Queue (when you want to post something not at the time, i mean maybe you want to post it in future) and Queue can manage it!!. Tumblr also own a pretty themes. We can costumize it by our self.

Tumblr is famous, but not as famous as blogspot and twitter, I checked it on compete.com :

Blogspot still on the first rank, with 59,692,608 unique visitor(uv). Twitter has 28,638,357 uv and Tumblr has 8,493,869 uv. it has a quite big range between these sites.

Well, in indonesia, people just prefer to use twitter than tumblr, in my perspective i think people just want to exist in one social media that quite famous between their community. That's our people behaviour, and maybe that is why i ever heard read an articles (forget where it was *lol*) said that "in indonesia, when you ask people 'do you play internet' they said 'no i don't, but i play facebook'." it is quite interesting, huh?

So yes, i agree that people is already aware about social media (even my maid know about facebook, but they called it 'pesbuk', and still write it 'pesbuk').

I believe someday TUMBLR will be famous as twitter, blogspot, and facebook. because, tumblring is too way fun! \(^o^)/

Twitting or Plurking?

When I left a day, for my 'cyber' activity and i ran my twitter, there was like a 2000 new tweets, and i just thought that 'oh my god! people really crazy in twitting'. So, why people twitting? why microblog now become so POPULAR (i mean extra popular?)

here is my perspective

today, internet become like a 'second diary' for some people. they don't talk too much directly, so they search for a media who can make them express their feeling about something. They want to express something that won't make others feeling offended, but they still want people know and hear about those feeling. Because I believe, people need something to express their feeling, people need other people to aware about some problems, even if it a little bit privat.

MICROBLOGGING.

why twitter is a kind of blog, with 'micro' on the first words? because if i write in blogger, i can talk much! maybe a thousand words. But in Microblog (which is twitter), we only can talk in 144 words only, and in those 'few' charachters, we can string up the words til it could represents our feeling. INTERESTING, RIGHT?

Actually, microblog is not just twitter. I know PLURK first before twitter. but, why plurking is not famous as twitting? (in case i left PLURK for TWITTER). I think it just because most people in indonesia use twitter, and 'few' people use plurk (even they have plurk, they also have twitter i think). Just like what i did

Allright, just now i signed in my plurk account, and for real! i already know what the different between PLURK and TWITTER, (honestly, i read Tamar Weinberg's blog, and found interesting article about PLURK vs TWITTER. The conclusion is :

So yes, in plurk we can have an informal discussion, and build a community, because we can comment other plurk and create a dynamic conversation there. maybe different with twitter, when we want to jump into a discussion, we should put hastag (example : #whypeopledoabortion) and we jump into the topic about it.

Tamar said, that twitter is more formal (for some people), but in my perspective, it's a little bit different. because i use it for connecting, celebrating, sometime there is a misuse (because i also use it for chatting :p). But, i agree some people use it for sharing information, and it really works! thanks for twitter, because i don't need to follow 'REG SERVICE' anymore! if you want to follow popular person, just FOLLOW! and you can update about 'em! So, the conclusion of my 'breakfast (blogwalking) + own exp + own perspective' about twitter and plurk is :

TWITTER : Chatting (even it is a misuse :p), sharing information, popular (in indonesia), simple

PLURK : Funny, Cute, Creative, Unformal Discussion

both : HAVE FUN!

wherever u post, just have fun with it! and you won't feel like "i want to share information so i should use twitter", or "i want to post trivia things, so i should use plurk" LOL, not like that! social media is a dynamic place for sharing information. post what you want, say what you feel, and don't be afraid of anything (sometime it makes you different), because it is a free world, you can post anything - of course in positive way - and say anything!

Passion - Obsession

Dear, Cybie..

When we see the word 'passion', all we can think about is love, warmth, peaceful, fulfillment, happiness, and other things that connect with your feeling. Something that you can't describe, something that makes you really enthusiastic. That's what im feeling about internet :)

Obsession.

for me, obsession is a little bit different instead of passion. OBSESSION is something more difficult to achieve, something hard but you really want to get 'em, your imagination, your ambition. Obsession is also good, but when you too much put your obsession on something, it will erode your happiness, because obsession is just your ambition to get something. Maybe you don't really use your passion inside it.

PASSION - OBSESSION

So, from the explanation above, which one do you think is rougher? well i think, Obsession is rougher than Passion. Passion is when you love someone really deep, and obsession is when you really really love someone, and you just keep her/him in your life forever, and you act TOO MUCH.. Yeah, that is an obsession. You know, something too much is not good for your healty nor your mental.

Why i talked about PASSION - and OBSESSION in the first place? the answer is, because i want you - reader - to do not think that i am an internet Obsession. Because obsession for me is kinda 'freak', lol! im not freaking out about internet, i just love internet.

Maybe Obsession is also good (if you want to compete GOOGLE, *giggle*). So, posses your own perspective is free, huh? and that is just my perspective. :)

at first i want to introduce myself to you.. i'm nadia sabrina dwiumami, but people called me nanath. I just started writing about cyber world.
